The Bayfront Baby Place is a unique program designed to offer expecting families the best in comfort and care. From beginning the end, your experience at Bayfront Baby Place is our top priority. That is why we have considered every detail, from valet parking, to spacious rooms, plasma-screen televisions and private family rooms.
Labor & Delivery Suites
Our spacious labor and delivery suites feel more like a hotel than a hospital. Custom art, soft linens, hidden medical equipment and large bathrooms are unexpected touches that ease anxiety for expecting families and ensure a "wow" experience.
Bonding with your new baby continues as families move seamlessly to sunlit recovery suites. These rooms are designed for optimal bonding and recovery, and include a sleeper sofa, bassinet and accommodations, such as large sinks, so that baby can stay in the room even for his/her first sponge bath.
Preparing for a cesarean-section is more private than ever before in our dedicated surgical unit. Patients and loved ones will prepare for and recovery from surgery in a private, soothing environment adjacent to state-of-the-art operating suites. A special family lounge is reserved for family members waiting to meet babies delivered by cesarean-section.
Nursery Care for Newborns
Staffed by skilled and caring nurses, Bayfront's Nursery is equipped with the latest diagnostic and monitoring equipment. Babies needing a little extra TLC will be cared for in our nursery by a specialized clinical team. Infants with special needs will be transferred to All Children’s NICU for care, just a short elevator ride away,
Bayfront Baby Place is a regional referral center for patients who need high levels of care prior to delivery, including mothers who require an extended period of monitored care. Now, we offer the most home-like environment for our patients, including roomy suites with large beds, scenic views, work centers and a dedicated nursing station. Bayfront's state-recognized High Risk Referral Center is staffed with highly skilled perinatologists who specialize in high-risk births, and neonatologists specializing in high-risk infants.
A separate family lounge offers some of the amenities of home, such as a game table, kitchen, washer/dryer and room enough to host celebrations and enjoy time with loved ones.

Bayfront’s Lactation Services work to help moms and babies have a successful breastfeeding experience.
Our certified lactation consultants offer education and guidance for women who are pregnant and considering breastfeeding. They also provide support and encouragement to new moms who have questions about breastfeeding, and give advice to breastfeeding mothers returning to work.
Bayfront is proud to offer Kangaroo Care to all patients. This practice enourages bonding immediately after birth. For more information, talk to your nurse or lactation consultant.

New Mom Support Group
Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. we welcome moms and babies to a special support group created just for growing families. During the meeting, moms share ideas, concerns and helpful tips on how to balance life after a baby. Healthy babies from newborn to walking are welcome to join.
